2013 Blue & Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby

At tonight's pack meeting, we announced that two of the most fun events of the year are coming up soon: the Blue & Gold Banquet and the Pinewood Derby.

The BLUE & GOLD BANQUET is a potluck to celebrate the birthday of Scouting. We'll hand out awards, the boys will perform songs and sketches, and we'll all have a good time.

The banquet will be held in downtown SF on Sunday, Feb. 24, 3pm-7pm. More details to follow.

The PINEWOOD DERBY is one of the iconic events of Cub Scouting. Each boy carves a race car out of a block of wood and races it against the other kids in the pack.

We handed out the car kits at the meeting tonight. If you were not at the meeting, please contact me to get a kit.

The Derby will be held Friday, March 8, 6pm-9pm in the church hall. Note the early start time. You don't want to miss it!
