Pack bike ride Dec. 1

Post date: Nov 6, 2012 9:19:50 PM

Hi Pack 345 --

I've arranged with the SF Bike Coalition to hold a bike safety class and lead us on a gentle ride through GG Park on Saturday, Dec. 1.

While I've intended this to fulfill a requirement for the Bears, everyone in the pack is welcome to join us!

IMPORTANT -- You must register in advance to attend because the class can fill up! Please scroll to the bottom of this page and enter your info:

For the Bear den, this fulfills Requirement 14:

All other kids in the pack may earn the Bicycling belt loop by attending this class:

We will meet in the panhandle of Golden Gate Park, have a class on how to ride safely on city streets, and then ride to the Koret Children's Playground in Golden Gate Park.

At least one parent should accompany each child. Training wheels are OK, but your child should know the basics of bike riding already. This is not a "learn to ride" class as much as a "learn to ride safely" class. For comparison, my son Ben can balance when he is moving but still drags his feet instead of using his brakes to stop.
